To change the URL on an IPTV box, open the app the box uses, add your new details as a new playlist or portal, check the channels load, then delete the old entry. On an Android box running TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro, that means a new playlist with the server URL, username and password from your IPTV Canada email; on a Formuler or MAG box, you edit the portal URL instead. 1. When You Need a New URL
- Your provider moved to a new server and emailed you a new server URL or portal. Your username and password usually stay the same.
- You switched providers. Moving to a new IPTV subscription changes everything: URL, username, password, and on MAG-style boxes, the activation of your MAC address.

If channels suddenly stopped and nobody sent you anything new, don’t start changing settings yet. Check whether the service is down or your plan has expired first; a new URL won’t fix either.
2. What to Have in Front of You
Open the email with the new details on your phone so you can read it while you type with the remote. What you’ll copy depends on the box:
- Android boxes, Fire TV, Android TV (TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, XCIPTV): the Xtream Codes server URL, username and password, or an M3U link. Our guide on where to find your IPTV URL shows which line is which.
- Formuler, MAG, Dreamlink, AVOV: a portal or server URL, plus the box’s MAC address if your provider activates by MAC.
Moving to a new provider? Ask for an IPTV free trial first and add it next to your current playlist; you can compare the two on the same box before you delete anything.
3. TiviMate
TiviMate keeps several playlists side by side, so the cleanest change is to add the new one, check it, then remove the old one.
- Open Settings, then Playlists, and select Add Playlist.
- Choose Xtream Codes (or M3U playlist if you were given a link).
- Enter the new server URL, username and password, select Next and wait while the channels download.
- Watch a few channels on the new playlist. When you’re happy, go back to Settings, Playlists, select the old playlist and remove it.

4. IPTV Smarters Pro
In Smarters each login is a “user”, and you switch between them from the home screen.
- On the home screen, select the Switch User icon in the top-right corner. You’ll see the list of saved users.
- Select Add User, then Login with Xtream Codes API (or Load Your Playlist or File/URL for an M3U link).
- Enter any name, then the new username, password and server URL, and select Add User.
- Once the new user loads, go back to the user list and delete the old one so the app can’t fall back to it.

5. XCIPTV
XCIPTV remembers one login at a time. Log out from its settings to get back to the sign-in screen; if your version has no logout option, open the box’s Settings, then Apps, XCIPTV, Storage, and clear its data, which resets the app without uninstalling it.
On the sign-in screen, enter the new server in the XC API URL field, then your username and password, and select Sign In.
6. Formuler (MyTVOnline)
- Open MyTVOnline 3, then Menu, Content Manager, Content Sources. Select your current portal to edit it, or Add Portal to set up the new one beside it.
- Enter the new portal URL exactly as it appears in the email. Leave Login required off for MAC-ID activation; turn it on only if you were given a username and password.
- New provider? Send them the MAC-ID shown under ID on that screen (on Z11 boxes it starts with 00:1E:B8), not the network MAC, and wait for activation before selecting Connect.

7. MAG Boxes
- Open Settings, then System settings, Servers, Portals.
- Replace the Portal 1 URL with the new one, with no spaces, and select OK to save.
- Go back to System settings and select Restart portal. The new channel list loads once the provider has your MAC address on file.
8. Dreamlink and AVOV
On a Dreamlink box, open Dreamlink Online (DOL2), select your service and press OK to edit it, then type the new service URL and confirm. With MAC activation, leave Certificate unchecked and the user fields blank.
On AVOV, open TVOnline, then Server Settings, select the server slot and press OK to edit the server URL. Leave Use Credentials unchecked for MAC activation, then select Connect.
9. If the New URL Doesn’t Work
Before blaming the box, test the details somewhere else: an M3U link opens in VLC on a computer (Media, Open Network Stream), and Xtream details work in IPTV Smarters Pro on a phone. If they work there, the problem is in how they were typed on the box.

10. Only Use URLs From Your Provider
A new URL should come from the provider you pay, by email or from your account. Free server lists posted on forums and video comments point to streams nobody licensed, they stop working without notice, and some lead to pages you don’t want your box talking to. Will changing the URL delete my favourites?
Usually, yes. Favourites are tied to a playlist, so a new playlist starts with none. Editing the server of an existing playlist keeps them in some apps.
Do I have to delete the old playlist?
Not right away. Keep it until the new one works, then delete it so the app can’t open it by mistake.
Can I keep two providers on the same box?
Yes. TiviMate and IPTV Smarters Pro both store several playlists, and MAG and Formuler boxes have more than one portal slot.
Is changing the URL the same as renewing?
