Who We Are
Mode IPTV (“we”, “us”) operates modeiptv.ca, where you can purchase IPTV subscription plans and request a free trial. We are an independent reseller of third-party streaming services based in Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to sell, activate and support your subscription:
- Order information — your name, email address, phone number and billing address, collected at checkout when you buy a plan.
- Trial requests — the name, email and details you submit through the free-trial form.
- Payment information — processed by our payment providers for card payments; Interac e-Transfer through your own bank). We never see or store your full card number or banking credentials.
- Support conversations — messages you send us by email, live chat or WhatsApp, kept so we can resolve your issue and reference past help you’ve received.
- Service credentials — the username and playlist details created to activate your subscription with our third-party supplier.
- Technical data — standard website logs and analytics (IP address, browser type, pages visited), described in the Cookies section below.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: process your order and deliver your login (usually within ~10 minutes); activate and manage your line with our supplier; answer support requests; send you service emails about your account — order confirmations, your credentials, and a reminder before your prepaid plan expires (plans never auto-renew, so this reminder is how you choose whether to continue); prevent fraud and abuse; and meet legal and tax obligations.
Under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the emails above are transactional or sent with your implied consent as a customer. If we ever send promotional offers, every such email will include a working unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your service emails.
Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with:
- Payment providers — Payment providers and Interac process payments under their own privacy policies;
- Our streaming suppliers — the minimum needed to create and maintain your line (typically a username; not your billing details);
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery and analytics providers that help us run the website;
- Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada (for example, in the United States or the European Union). Where they do, your information is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
Data Retention
We keep order records for as long as needed to support your subscription and to meet Canadian tax and accounting requirements (generally seven years for transaction records). Trial-form submissions and support conversations are deleted or anonymized once they are no longer needed. Service credentials are removed when your line is terminated and no renewal follows.
Cookies & Analytics
modeiptv.ca uses cookies for things the site can’t work without — keeping your cart and checkout session, and remembering choices during your visit — plus analytics cookies that help us understand which pages are useful. We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console, which collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, approximate location, device type). We do not run third-party advertising cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the checkout may not function with essential cookies disabled. Our customer-review widget displays reviews from our public Google Business profile; interacting with it is subject to Google’s privacy policy.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA you may ask us at any time to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct anything inaccurate; withdraw consent to non-essential uses; or delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
How We Protect Your Information
The website is served over HTTPS, payment details go directly to our payment providers without touching our servers, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever become aware of a breach creating a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected customers and the Privacy Commissioner as PIPEDA requires.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves; the “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
