Copyright Protection Policy

ModeIPTV respects intellectual property rights and operates in good-faith compliance with both the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the Canadian Copyright Act, including the Notice-and-Notice regime established under sections 41.25–41.27.
We take copyright infringement seriously and respond promptly to valid notices of alleged copyright violations. When we receive a complete and verifiable notice, we investigate and take appropriate action — including, where warranted, removal or disabling of access to the material, and notification to the relevant content provider or upstream source.
ModeIPTV operates as a service reseller and does not host, encode, or originate the content delivered through the platform. Content is sourced from third-party providers. When ModeIPTV receives a valid copyright complaint, the notice is reviewed against the corresponding upstream relationship and acted upon according to the applicable copyright framework.

Important: To help us review your request quickly, include clear and complete information in your notice. Incomplete notices delay investigation and may be returned for clarification.

How to File a Copyright Complaint

To submit a valid copyright takedown notice, please include all of the following. Notices missing required elements may not be actionable under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)) or the Canadian Copyright Act.

1. Your Contact Details

  • Your full legal name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Physical mailing address (jurisdiction matters for legal process)

If acting on behalf of a copyright owner: your authorization and the rights-holder's identity

2. Identification of the Copyrighted Work

  • Identify the specific copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
  • If multiple works are involved on the same notice, you may provide a representative list
  • Provide registration numbers, ISRC/ISWC codes, or other identifying information where applicable

3. Identification of the Allegedly Infringing Material

  • Provide the exact location or description of where the material appears on our service (channel name, programme title, content identifier, or — where applicable — the upstream stream URL or M3U identifier)
  • Provide enough detail that ModeIPTV can locate and verify the material without ambiguity

4. Required Legal Statements
A valid notice must include:

  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Review Process & Response Time

Once we receive your notice, we review it as quickly as possible and take appropriate action where the complaint is complete and valid.
Step 1 — Submit Notice
You send your copyright complaint with all required details to the address listed below.
Step 2 — We Review
Our team checks the notice for completeness, validity, and verifiability. We confirm the rights-holder relationship where required.
Step 3 — Action Taken
Valid complaints are investigated and addressed within the response window stated below. The reporting party receives confirmation of the action taken.

Response Time Commitment: ModeIPTV processes all copyright complaints within 72 hours of receipt during regular business operations. Valid complaints are typically addressed within 24 hours; complex investigations may require additional time, in which case the reporting party will be notified.

Warning About False Claims

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that material was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney's fees. Canadian law contains comparable provisions against misrepresentation in copyright notices.

Recommendation: Consult legal counsel before submitting a copyright complaint if you are uncertain whether the material is infringing, whether you hold the rights, or whether the use falls within statutory exceptions such as fair dealing (Canada) or fair use (United States).

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that material was removed or access disabled in error — for example, because of misidentification or because the use is authorized — you may submit a counter-notification.
Your Counter-Notification Must Include

  • Your full name, address, phone number, and email address
  • Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled, and the location at which it appeared before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of [Province] for any judicial district in which your address is located, and to the jurisdiction of the courts of Canada more generally
  • Your physical or electronic signature

After we receive a valid counter-notification, the original notifying party will be informed. Under the DMCA framework, restored access may follow if the original notifier does not file a court action within the statutory window (typically 10–14 business days). Under the Canadian Notice-and-Notice regime, the original notifier is forwarded the counter-notice.
